Of gas men and lie-ins

So, the gas men have been happily digging up the road for the past couple of weeks (inlcuding the required "JCB through power line" trick). And now the time has come to fill in these big holes they've been making.

Which means that at something like half seven in the morning they come along with a big truck o' earth and one of those noisy pounder things.

There goes my lie-in.
