I just found it very annoying. Rough sequence of events:

I spot that nothing of mine's getting beyond the third router (answers to 1.1.1.1).
I leave it for a bit, then try to reconnect.
Comes back at me saying it doen't like my username or password.
Try multiple times with both modems, still get same error.
Try signup account, same error.
Pick up the phone and dial 1591 for an outside line (more precisely, for the prompt to enter the account and pin to get at the outside world).
Get some weird engaged tone.
Dial my external number (starts 0870) from my mobile.
It's answered by silence, and picking up the phone gives me a dialtone.
Conclude that keycom are up the creek and the boat doesn't so much leak as sink, and give up.
