torkellWell, that was loud.
The Christmas lights switch-on just happened, and the fireworks for the display are launched very close to the town centre (I suspect from the roof of the shopping centre). Which means that they're rather close to me unlike the usual displays that are a good mile or two away.
It was also a very short display - there was a minute or two of rapid-fire fireworks, a gap, a couple more minutes, and that was it. The whole display reminded me a bit of this one from a couple of years back, and nothing like the longer shows I usually get to watch from my flat. I wonder if this was intentional?
