What if there really was no need for much - or even most - of the Cold War? What if, in fact, the Cold War had been kept alive for two decades based on phony WMD threats?

What if, similarly, the War On Terror was largely a scam, and the administration was hyping it to seem larger-than-life? What if our "enemy" represented a real but relatively small threat posed by rogue and criminal groups well outside the mainstream of Islam? What if that hype was done largely to enhance the power, electability, and stature of George W. Bush and Tony Blair?

And what if the world was to discover the most shocking dimensions of these twin deceits - that the same men promulgated them in the 1970s and today?

It happened.

You have to remember that G W bush has no real reason to be elected, as with most things, he is very incompetent. If it were not for 9/11, he would never have made it to a second term. It is only because he is now a "war president" (for a phoney war the he did indeed hype up beyond belief) that he got in for a second slice of the cake. I think its time the American public get their act together and stop being taken in by candidates who poses the ability to use spin and that’s all. What they need is someone who plays to Americas strengths, not one playing to its weaknesses. I feel that however the American public have been all too well taken in by this type of candidate and for many years, I think we will see future candidates imitating the "ways of bush". tis a great shame...you would have thought one of the largest countries would have a bit more sense, but alas not.
