It'll be all right. I was nervous too, going to Berkeley; but it all turned out fine once they realised that our Ethernet wall socket wasn't working and were forced to give us a Linksys switch. :-)

They don't give us ethernet in the rooms here (unles you go for the super-dooper brand new ones). I'm hoping that I can coax my wireless bridge into talking to a nearby hotspot (did I mention that Sussex has pretty good wireless coverage), possibly through a long length of Cat5 or similar. Not sure if the IT guys would approve, but it doesn't say anyway that I can't do that!

oh btw i should have warned you, keysurf (currently the only way of getting internet access in your bedroom at uni) is absolutely the biggest piece of shit in the history of shit. it's 56k dialup that is not as reliable as it should be. don't let me put you off getting it though. i paid 110 for unlimited time for the whole of my first year at uni.

so yeh, where are you gonna be in halls? and do you wanna meet up for that drink sometime?
