Ridiculous moments in Wipeout64

Today's silly moment in Wipeout64 (yes, I still play that game from time to time...): being 'helped' across the finish line by a quake. The quake took off the last of the shield energy and caused my craft to explode, but not before I'd crossed the finish line and won the race.

That ranks among such silly moments as the AI in Wipeout64 choosing to boost right into a string of mines, or having a blue shell in Mario Kart do a u-turn on the finish line and come back for me (which I claim was most unfair).
