So this year it seems that Lewes will be burninating not one, but two effigies of Alex Salmond. No surprise there - it's become traditional for current politicians to feature in their celebrations. Except Alex Salmond has got wind of it, and is apparently blaming East Sussex County Council and/or the Tories for it.

This would be the ESCC where the Tories, while having the most councillors, don't actually have overall control (20 seats out of 49). And the independent bonfire societies that a few years ago burninated a David Cameron effigy holding a Nick Clegg puppet, to a resounding lack of complaints. So a typical research failure from the SNP, then?
