Daily photo meme 2014

Today's the first of May, which means it's once again six months until the start of NaBloPoMo. And like last year, it's also the start of a month of photos!

For anyone else who chooses to take part, here's the rules:

• Every day, take a photo (or draw a doodle or create something else) and post it!

Anyway, the photo. Today's was taken while walking back from work, on a completely different and at times extremely muddy route north of the M27 that I've only walked maybe twice before. Along one quiet country lane, I happened to glance into the woods to my side and spotted this:

And now for something merely partly different!

For various reasons, the "to be opened only in the event of my death" letter was couriered (via the appropriately-named TNT) to work's head office rather than merely being dropped in the post. It was enclosed inside another envelope along with several other documents that also had to be sent off to HR.

Today, HR informed me that there had been a little difficulty with the courier...



I'm not entirely sure what happened to it. Whatever it was that made the hole (and it's only one hole - it was folded in half before being put in the outer envelope) went through several of the other papers in there as well.
