torkellI see Facebook has a variant of the "Revoke the Declaration of Independence" meme (first seen November 2000, after the American elections that year).
Amusingly, the creator has put up a "Wall of Shame" with the best of the poorly-written flames posted by Americans who fail to get the joke (along with a couple of posts from Americans who managed to get the joke).
Edit: oh dear, the "annex the UK" rebuttal group is full of chavs flaming it. Come now, let us Brits and Americans settle our differences for long enough to deal with the chavs (and the American equivalent).
