Challenge way: you need to put two things together. The things to put together are my website, and the boy who flew too close to the sun. Once combined you should be able to lookup the address for "here".

It's not actually mine - that's pewterfish. I've yet to hook Icarus up (need to clear out the server cupboard and sort out power).

It's pewterfish's machine with his website. Icarus is an old laptop with a dud battery, which is going to become a web server and tinkering machine. The intention is that it'll be proxied through the current machine.

Your solution is correct. You're actually pinging the firewall that's in front if his server. Icarus is mine, but I've yet to set it up.
