Random paperwork silliness

torkellRandom bit of paperwork silliness: a form I had to fill out recently required submitting proof of identity, and one of the documents they accept is a birth certificate. Why does this result in paperwork silliness? Well, my copy of the certificate says "this certificate is not evidence of the identity of the person presenting it".
