Today's driving surprise is a riderless horse (or possibly a pony) crossing the A259 near Merston (not my usual route back from pasta night, but the A27 was closed for road works). It seemed rather unconcerned by the Alfa that had just come to a sudden halt before it, and merely looked at me before plodding off down a side road.
