'Tis a dark and very stormy night out there. I should know, I've just driven through it. I elected to take the A24 route, thinking that it might be better than Bury Hill... though I'm not sure, having found several unexpectedly large puddles along the way (of the sort that grab at the wheels and try to fling you into the crash barrier). The Bury Hill route is generally more sheltered and at lower speeds, though it does have the epic puddle of doom in Pulborough to contend with (along with the potential for the River Arun to flood). Surprisingly the Met Office haven't given a weather warning for that, despite the amount of surface flooding on the roads the rain has caused. There is a warning for tomorrow for strong winds though.

Anyway, tonight was once again pasta night! We ended up playing a couple of rounds of Dominion with random card selections. I won the first one by a reasonable margin with 20 points in Gardens plus another 24 in normal Victory cards. The second game ended up with a very different balance of cards, of which only a couple gave +1 Action (allowing you to play another card) and none were +2 or more - that slowed down the play quite a bit, and combined with being unable to find a strategy that worked resulted in me epically losing with a score of 13. Afterwards was a round of exploding kittens - I was out quickly, followed by Sarah and Jonners, with it coming down to Paddy and Matt dueling over the final exploding kitten until Matt ran out of ways to defuse and/or avoid drawing it.
