Digitally Imported FAIL
May. 24th, 2013 08:15 pmWell, I was intending to listen to one of the many online radio streams on Digitally Imported. Except they've redesigned the website and hidden all the links to actually listen to the streams. Instead of listing them all on the home page (with multiple formats as well), they've hidden them behind a small gear icon on each individual channel page. And accessing the streams now needs an account, even for the free ones. There is a flash player, but that suffers from the small but significant problem of it not working.
As it turned out I had the stream URL in a recently-listened-to list, and that still works without needing any kind of login which makes me wonder what the point of requiring an account is. Is it to discourage people from actually using their site?
