Jan. 2nd, 2008 08:57 pmThe only thing comment spammers are accomplishing with my site is pissing me off by making my logs effectively useless. I want to see what interesting sites link to mine? Well I can't, as half the legitimate-looking links have been dropped there by spammers bashing their heads against my gallery's anti-spam system.
On the plus side, this gives me a very effective comment blocking system. That and a couple other changes may even convince the bots to go away, though that does assume they actually know what a 403 means.
