Well, I've just gone and completed the Minish Cap for the third time, and this probably won't be the last time. I'm not sure how long it took me this time, but to give you an idea of things I only needed to recharge the GBA once. I think I'm getting quicker at it, as well as discovering new tricks and better ways of dealing with some of the mini-bosses.

There's something about it that brings me back to it again and again, the same way I end up playing through Ocarina of Time again year after year. Perhaps it's the fact that I've yet to truely finish either game, although I get closer and closer with each play through and find more and more heart pieces.

Will's playing of Twilight Princess has made me rather nostalgic. Since I am currently Wii-less (preordered it late), I'll probably spend the next few days crusing through Ocarina of Time on the ol' N64.

I've always thought that the mark of an excellent game is when you keep on playing it again and again, many years after its release. As an example, my current set of games are Wipeout64, Unreal Tournament (the original), Ricochet, Worms 2 (and variations thereof), Beyond Good and Evil, and Worms Pinball. Only one of those was released in the past 4 years.

Found in an ancient readme file, dating from 1994:

I'm sorry; the telepathic monitors of most computer systems are not software-addressable. A compulsive urge to use files whose names begin with punctuation or mathematical symbols can now be treated successfully in a majority of cases.

As appears to be traditional, I have discovered that there's a bug in one of my submissions, after submitting it (previous ones include a non-functioning command in a text adventure that fortuantly isn't required to complete the game).

On my site that I created for MDA, the picture of me doesn't work. This is because the URL for it, instead of being "me.jpeg", is apparently "file:///C:/Data/Sussex/3A/MDA/Assignment%202/www/me.jpeg". The same goes for the picture of the side view of my PDA: "file:///C:/Data/Sussex/3A/MDA/Assignment%202/www/pda.jpeg" instead of "pda.jpeg". In both cases the actual files are present online, it is merely the link which is incorrect.

Of course, everything appeared to work fine as the site was tested from the same computer it was developed on. It's only now I'm idly wandering round it on another machine that I notice this, and of course it's too late for me to resubmit it. Good job I'm not using images for the site's look and feel.

Ah well, there's nothing I can do about it. No use worrying over what you can't fix.

And next time I'll check the URLs meself rather than assuming Visual InterDev is behaving itself.
