I think the battery was flat in *exactly* the right way to cause it. The LCD viewfinder was updating the image only, and not the exposure/arpeture, and none of the controls did anything. I had to actually take the battery out!
(and of course when I switched it back in it then got rather unhappy about the lens not having been retracted and made some nasty gear-clunking noises for a bit. Seems fine now)
I'm not sure if there's any electronic gizmos left that I haven't crashed or wedged in some way. I've manged to wedge my cellphone as well, and a Belkin KVM switch (no suprise there).
i am in great awe of my phone. it is the only thing (other than the tv) that i can think of that i havnt crashed. the one that impressed me the most was the first time i used a linux machine...at the time i thought of it as the OS that doesnt crash...it took me about a min.
i seem to crash my camera all the time (although have yet to manage the SLR... :P). i just the battery out, put it down and forget about it...until i next need it.
