Crowdsourcing snow

Interesting application of crowdsourcing by the Met Office: they're asking UK residents to submit their own snow measurements, and have put together a map with the results.

As a result I can tell that [livejournal.com profile] talismancer, who lives about 45 miles along the coast from me, should have a good foot or so of snow to enjoy. Lucky git.

We suspect the one singular 45cm report from north portslade is someone emptying their deepfreezer, rather than anything that came from the heavens
