The future is now
In today's episode of "the future is now", a friend is getting married right now in the USA and (along with 40 other people) I'm present virtually by watching a live stream of it.
And to set it up needed no more equipment than a laptop with a webcam, a web browser, and an internet connection.
On the flip side... the bride has just entered to the sound of the congregation singing a capella "Dah da-da-dah, dah da-da-dah..."!
