I do wonder why any politician thinks appearing on Have I Got News For You is a remotely good idea (with the possible exception of Boris Johnson, who gets away with it through being Boris Johnson).
Case in point: last week's episode (that I finally got round to watching today - it's well worth watching), containing on one team a random comedian and on the other team the leader of UKIP. Cue a particularly vicious set of rounds with the target of all the jokes being said politician.
