Turn on an old mobile phone that's been switched off for a good few months. Estimated battery life: 20-something per cent.
Enable bluetooth, tinker with settings, prod the bluetooth interface from the PC. Estimated battery life: 30-something per cent. Note that the phone was not plugged in.
