Today looks like a very nice spring day. Clear skies with a few wisps of high-level cloud, bright sunlight, a hint of birdsong among the screaming gulls, enough wind to keep the air moving but not enough to freeze you. Even the daffodils outside my window are sprouting.

Whatever happened to winter?
